Lupos Global has a requirement Aircraft Fitter Mechanic (Helicopters) for our client based at RAF Shawbury.
 
Our client is the largest Helicopter Manufacturer and offers bespoke completions, maintenance and spares support for both Civil and Military sectors.
 
Contract details:
Start date ASAP
Based at RAF Shawbury
6 Month Contract - (likely to continue and to be extended)
Line/Base Maintenance
Monday-Friday - 08:00 - 17:00 – 40 hours per Week
Competitive Hourly Rate and Falls under IR35
 
Job Description: 

The Aircraft Mechanical Fitter is responsible for assisting in the movement, Line
and Base Maintenance of our clients H135/H145 fleet.
  • Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations.
  • Accomplishment of Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by nominated
    Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer.
  • Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
  • Completion of maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant, mechanical
    and electrical systems in accordance with written instructions laid down by OEM.
  • Conduct off-aircraft mechanical, power plant, component and composite technical
    work in workshops as required.
  • Also required to assist in day to day running of the aircraft Hangar, including
    aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.

Experience Required:
  • Must have thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems.
  • Knowledge of specialised test equipment relating to engine and airframe systems.
  • Experience of Base Maintenance.
  • Experience of Flight Operations and Line Maintenance.
  • Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or related discipline.
